In this 2 hour nourishing and dynamic floating yoga journey we will slow down together on the water to explore more deeply infusing our yoga and SUP yoga practices with more Metta, Loving Kindness. As we mindfully weave our way through our alignment inspired SUP Yoga workshop, we will challenge ourselves to see how greatly we can take care of ourselves, and of our bodies, minds, hearts, and spirits as we breathe and flow. We will practice carrying the loving kindness, compassion, and mindfulness that we cultivate and create in our yoga practices off the mat and water to more positively affect and transform our day to day lives so that we may live with more ease.

GENERAL SUP YOGA INFO
Whether you are new to yoga or an advanced yoga practitioner, SUP Yoga provides an inclusive, rejuvenating, and fun new spin on the traditional yoga practice! It allows us to combine the physicality of Stand Up Paddle boarding and the beauty and elements of nature and floating on the water with the peace, presence, playfulness, and meditative aspects of our yoga practice. SUP Yoga provides a unique opportunity to explore our asana, pranayama, and meditation practices, while building new confidence and community on the water.

We‘re able to experience a total communion and connection with nature in a safe, accessible, relaxing, and meditative environment. It allows us to become more in tune with our yoga practice, our breath, and our sense of balance on the board, and in each asana. The confidence and courage we develop on the water and in our practice translates far beyond the paddleboard and mat and can positively affect our lives and our community in so many powerful ways. Let the water be your yoga mat and leave feeling confident, refreshed, and empowered!

Stand Up Paddleboard Yoga fuses the timeless practice of yoga with an exciting water sport and adds a challenge away from our mats that most of us take for granted. Students first learn the basics of SUP by becoming familiar with mounting the board, paddle stroke and core stabilization. Once anchored, class begins with pranayama and meditation to integrate the pranic movement of the water element into the practice, followed by low center of gravity poses and continuing further into a vinyasa practice from there. *This class is open all levels of practice and SUP experience. **For those interested, session will end with photos of you in your favorite poses on the board so you have a memory to take home with you.
